Pisgah Presbyterian Church seeks to be a vibrant community of faith. We are located in the heart of the Bluegrass region of Kentucky, and are a community of faith of about two hundred and fifty people who live, work, enjoy retirement, and raise their families in the greater Lexington area. The church is located on 30 rural acres in Woodford County, just west of Lexington, and is surrounded by scenic horse farms.
I am a California native, and my family and I have been in the Bluegrass for six years. My wife and I both graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, New Jersey. She is also a presbyterian minister. Prior to our time in Kentucky, I served as an associate pastor in Virginia.
Pisgah Church is part of the Reformed tradition and is a congregation of the PC(USA). We are on the western edge of the Presbytery of Transylvania, which incorporates Presbyterian churches in the Lexington area and eastern Kentucky.
Pisgah Presbyterian Church was established in 1784, and there has been a Presbyterian presence on our site ever since. As a church, we gather together for worship in an historic, stone sanctuary built in 1812. We have an energetic Christian education program for all ages that meets every Sunday morning. We enjoy coming together for fellowship both indoors and outdoors. We also have a commitment to mission and evangelism that is both Presbyterian and ecumenical.
We welcome all people to join with us as we seek to grow in faith and love as followers of Jesus Christ in this corner of God’s peaceable Kingdom.
Thank you for visiting my blog (my wife calls it my “blah-g”).
I wish you grace and peace,

Jon, when this picture of you popped up on the screen, “Jon Calvin” popped into my head. Have a wonderful day and may Lord Christ shine upon you.
Truly yours,
